Silver Blade is a quarterly journal of classic fantasy. Our mission? Inspiring people to dream of faraway places; swords and sorcery; triumph over evil; dragons and elves -- worlds where nothing follows the rules and everything fires the imagination...

While Silver Blade focuses on classic fantasy and children oriented fantasy fiction, our sister publication, Liquid Imagination , is focused on modern fantasy fare. Together, we are interested in fostering the talents and creative power of tomorrow's writers.

Our goal is to become an officially recognized charitable organization by the end of 2009. We hope this will enable us to raise to funds neccesary to serve budding writers in under-served parts of the world. By summer 2009, Silver Blade will begin week-long outreach workshops focused on younger writers. The vision for these workshops is to have something comparable to vacation bible school - only focused on creative writing. In addition, Short story, flash fiction, and poetry contests will encourage undiscovered writers of all ages to make their work more public.

If you feel that this is a worthwhile venture, please feel free to chip in or lend a hand. Please contact us via kdr -at- silverpen -dot- org. Our staff is all vollunteer.
