Second Hand

My favourite watch has stopped.
And going through the stack, I am amazed to find that so has this one. And this one, and that one too.
And every single one of my watches, now thinking about it. As if their internal clocks had been beating to that of my favourite one. As if a fairy tale witch had put the entire clockwork castle to sleep, freezing hour, minute and second hands in their action, somewhere around 19:37. Has doom's day struck without my being aware of it?
So many mute hands raised in alarm and tea has gone cold.

The end phrase is superb. C'est drole! " has doomsday come and gone?", nadine

I've got a bunch of stopped watches too. Glad it's not just me!
This piece feels a little creepy, although I can't say exactly why. It's good though

That would be pretty weird for all the watches to stop at 19:37. I, for some reason have several watches that no longer run or the band is broken or they're flawed in some other way. I really should throw them all away.
I smiled as it read this.
