April is the co-editor of the literary zine Up the Staircase. (www.upthestaircase.org)

April is a 26 year old student of poetry and literature. She has been going to school for so long now that she very well should be a doctor. Some people jokingly call her Doc April.

Words are April's biggest turn on and she craves them. Words are her greatest passion whether they be filled with truth or lie.

April feels that one can not be a poet without dedicating themselves fully to the art. A poet must read poetry. April's favorite poets of the moment are Mina Loy, Bella Akhmadulina, William Carlos Williams, Lorine Neidecker, and Stephanie Bryant Anderson.
